Lee trivia:    Lee was living in Thailand during the disco era when he first discovered manga. The manga was Candy Candy. It was in Thai and Lee couldn't read it. The first anime he ever saw was also Candy Candy.

Lee trivia:    Lee next encountered Candy Candy in Korea. He still couldn't read it. Lee's still waiting for the English version so he can. It's unlikely he ever will.

Lee trivia:    After Lee returned to the States, he thought he'd never see anime again. It took almost ten years before he did. The first anime he saw in America? Project A-Ko.

Lee trivia:    The first anime DVD Lee ever bought was Hand Maid May.

Lee trivia:    Lee has incorporated anime and manga techniques in his comic book scripting of stories like Doom Patrol vs. Teen Titans.

Lee trivia:    Lee bought Video Girl Ai while attending the Romance Writers of America annual RWA conference in Denver.

Lee trivia:    Lee took anime DVDs with him to Iraq. He even bought the first volumes of Angelic Layer and Angel Tales from the tent city BX there. He didn't have running water or electricity much of the time, but at least he had the essentials!

Lee trivia:    In the third episode of Sentimental Journey, the main characters visit Miyajima island, home of the famous tori (red gate) -- one of the Japan's best-known landmarks -- and hike up Mt. Misen (also known as "Monkey Mountain"). When he was working at nearby Iwakuni Marine Corps Air Station, Lee hiked up Mt. Misen, too. He didn't do it in a typhoon though.

Lee trivia:    In the third episode of Stratos 4, we see the air traffic control tower at "Anderson base" (aka Anderson Air Force Base) in Guam. Lee has installed equipment in that tower cab.

Lee trivia:    What is it with third episodes and places Lee's been? Is Lee destined to go "on location" to the locale of every anime's third episode? Only time will tell...
