about Lee

Fiction writer Lee Allred debuted by winning first place Writers of the Future with his story, "For the Strength of the Hills," a story which subsequently was named a finalist for the Sidewise Award for Alternate History. He has gone on to write for DC Comics, Asimov's Science Fiction Magazine, and several science fiction anthologies. Lee has had the usual assortment of writerly jobs: commercial artist, radar maintenance technician,cartographer, butcher's assistant, soldier, missionary, construction foreman, ranch hand, newspaper sports photographer, corporate cubicle warrior, &c.
